This spun cotton snowman and candy cane set will add a sweet vintage touch to your Christmas tree (or keep one and give the other to your favourite person!).
The snowman's a little over 2 inches (5 cm) tall and is made from spun cotton, a tradition that began in 19th century Germany, where cotton is molded around wire, into shapes which are then painted and decorated. He has pink cheeks, wears a turquoise scarf made from silk sari scraps, and carries a jingly bell that dangles from red thread.
The candy cane's around 4 inches (10 cm) tall and has been made from spun cotton and given a light dusting of frost glitter for a little sparkle. It dangles from white thread, ready for hanging.
