This lovely duo is something I've had on my "must make" list for years, after being inspired by the beautiful swans that swim the canal that runs through our village. It'd make a wonderful addition to your spring decor (or all year round!).
The sculpture is around 3.5 inches (9 cm) tall. The swans and cattails are made from spun cotton, a tradition that began in 19th century Germany, where cotton is moulded around wire into shapes that are then painted and decorated. One swan wears a pink velvet bow. They both sit on a pretty shade of blue needle felted "water".
They will be packed with lots of love and care in acid free tissue paper (that can be reused for safe storage).
