Vintage Style Spun Cotton Trick-or-Treaters Ornament

Trick or Treat! This cute lil' trio is all dressed up for Halloween and on the hunt for sweet treats!

This ornament is around 4 inches (10 cm) tall, to the tip of its stem. The paper mache diorama has been shaped into a pumpkin with cotton, then painted. The inside is a mustard yellow and the opening is lined in orange German glass glitter for a bit of shimmer. The tiny trick-or-treaters (a ghost boy holding a pillowcase and a lil' skeleton and witch holding pumpkin buckets) are made from spun cotton, a tradition that began in 19th century Germany, where cotton is moulded into shapes which are then painted and decorated. Little pumpkins and leaves add to the scene. The diorama dangles from black thread, ready to hang from your tree..
