As an '80s American kid, one of my favourite Easter memories was waking up to a colourful basket full of sweet treats...the biggest being a delicious, hollow chocolate bunny (with big candy eyes!). It's inspired me to create a couple spun cotton versions of my own this year.
Of course, you had to dive into those ears first, so my own version has a nice chomp out of his left ear (sorry little guy, I always felt a bit guilty with that first bite!).
He's almost 4.5 inches (11 cm) tall and is made from spun cotton, a tradition that began in 19th century Germany, where cotton is moulded around wire into shapes which are then painted and decorated. He holds a spun cotton carrot, wears a yellow bow, and dangles from pink thread, ready to hang with your own spring decor!
