As an '80s American kid, one of my favourite Easter memories was waking up to a colourful basket full of goodies. For me, that usually meant a big hollow chocolate bunny, dyed eggs (that we dyed as a family the day prior), and lots of other sweets in a bed of cellophane grass. And when I was really young? One of those colourful bunny stuffed animals!
For this "basket", I went with a sweet lavender bunny, a few dyed eggs, and a boxed chocolate bunny. The ornament's around 4 inches (10 cm) tall, to the top of the ribbon on the egg basket. The cracked egg is paper mache' and the handle is made from a high quality pink chenille pipe cleaner. I created my own cellophane Easter grass, on which a few spun cotton eggs sit next to a big lavender bunny (wearing a yellow bow) and a boxed chocolate bunny.
