This tiny spun cotton butterfly angel will bring a peaceful, vintage touch to your Christmas decor.
She's almost 2 inches (5 cm tall) and is made from spun cotton, a tradition that began in 19th century Germany, where cotton is molded around wire into shapes which are then painted and decorated. Her body is a deep red and her wings are made from German paper scrap cutouts that have been dusted with German glass glitter (for a little sparkle!). Her neck is adorned with a turquoise bow made from silk sari scraps. The back of her wings have been painted beige and also given a dusting of glitter. She wears a silver tinsel halo and holds a spun cotton candle in her hands.
